2.5. Authentication and Security (Parent App)

To protect student information and ensure only authorized parents can access their children's data, the Parent app requires a two-factor authentication process:

• Step 1: Parents request login using their registered phone number
• Step 2: The homeroom teacher receives a notification and must approve the login request via the Teacher app
• Session Management: Login sessions expire after 15 minutes for security purposes
• Data Protection: Authentication data is encrypted during transmission and not stored long-term

This approval mechanism ensures that only verified parents associated with enrolled students can access the app, providing an additional layer of security beyond traditional password-based authentication.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share data with third-party services (such as Firebase for push notifications or analytics tools) to improve app performance and deliver essential features like login approval notifications.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption of sensitive information during transmission and storage. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. The Parent app is designed for parents/guardians to monitor their children's educational activities, and the Teacher app is for educators only.
